Set in the heart of Tuscany, Tenute Poggiazzi is the first villa to offer The Private Cellar experience. The villa’s manager, Angelo Caniggia, comes from a prominent Chianti winemaking family and brings that knowledge directly into every stay. 

At the heart of the property sits a 500-year-old wine cellar, stocked with the estate’s own wines alongside a carefully chosen selection from Chianti, Montalcino, and beyond, creating an ideal setting for a private wine experience in Tuscany where the connection between place, producer, and palate is brought directly into the villa. 

The Private Cellar will be introduced across further villas in Tuscany and Italy, each selected for its connection to wine, landscape, and local expertise.

1. Is The Private Cellar available at all Tuscany Now & More villas?

The Private Cellar is currently available at a selection of villas across Tuscany. It will be introduced across further properties in the coming months — each selected for its own connection to wine and place.

2. Do I need to visit a winery to experience Tuscany's best wines?

Not with The Private Cellar. Rather than planning winery visits or wine tasting tours in Tuscany, this experience brings the wines — and the expertise behind them — directly to your villa. Everything is curated and delivered before you arrive.

3. How far in advance should I book?

We recommend arranging The Private Cellar at least one month before your stay — ideally at the time of your villa booking — to allow enough time for the pre-arrival consultation and wine curation.

4.Can I request specific wines or producers?

Yes, the pre-arrival consultation is your opportunity to share any preferences, favourite regions, or producers you'd like to explore. The selection is built entirely around you.
